The 12th Annual Northern California Permaculture Convergence will bring together an estimated 1000 permaculture designers, social and environmental justice activists, educators, individuals and organizations from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The Convergence will include best practices for whole systems sustainability to transform our food, water, energy, technology and economies, while enhancing local, national and international resiliency networks.

The Transition Movement is a vibrant, grassroots movement that seeks to build community resilience in the face of such challenges as peak oil, climate change and the economic crisis. It represents one of the most promising ways of engaging people in strengthening their communities against the effects of these challenges, resulting in a life that is more abundant, fulfilling, equitable and socially connected. The mission of TransitionSF is to promote and inspire an abundant, local and resilient San Francisco by unleashing the collective genius of our community to dramatically reduce carbon emissions in response to climate change; to significantly rebuild resilience in response to peak oil; and to greatly strengthen our local economy in response to economic instability.
Designed for this time of accelerated awakening, The Evolver Network is a learning laboratory of local communities bringing people and groups together to learn new skills, collaborate, celebrate, and manifest change.
Bay Area Community Exchange (BACE) is a collaborative network that supports the development of alternative means of exchange in the San Francisco Bay Area. We provide research and development support, incubation of alternative exchange projects, and education to the Bay Area community about economic issues. Through our work with currency projects, we will create an economy that is more sustainable, just, and embedded in healthy community connections.
